Description

A black and white photograph of a building, possibly that of the worker's quarters who were employed by the Temple family, Homestead ca. 1920s. A reproduction photo of the same image was cataloged previously with information stating that the building was possibly that of the worker's quarters on the southern most end of the Homestead site, near the San Jose Creek. The building is shown with white wash walls, most likely made of adobe brick, flat roof with red tiles, porch awning that extends the entire length of the structure with wooden poles to support it, windows. There are several palm trees planted in front of the building, as well as bushes, obscuring the visibility of further detail. On the right of it is detached structure, appearing to be a either a small garage or shed. There are numerous tall trees in the background, behind the buildings. With a photographer's stamp of "8" on the reverse, it is in good condition.
