Description

A black and white photograph of a large mound of ruins, Taos, New Mexico, ca. 1920s. In view are remnants of a tall structure. On the left is a mound of rumble, low to the ground and on the right is a ruin that appears to be about fifty feet tall and more remnants on the back. The inscription on the reverse states that the remnants were from a Temple that was destroyed by Americans during a battle. With moderate soiling, warping, photographer's stamp of "VELOX" and "8134" on the reverse, and an inscription written in ink on reverse, it is in good to fair condition.
