Description
A black and white photograph of a young boy and girl on horseback, ca. 1908. A young boy and girl appearing to be between eight and ten years are on a small pony. They are identified on the reverse, written in ink as "Frank Welch & Emeliene/1908." Frank is wearing a long sleeved shirt, pants and is barefoot while Emeliene who holds on to Frank, sitting behind him wears a cotton dress and shoes. Frank is shown grinning and Emeliene is smiling. Behind the trio are tall trees and shrubbery. It is possible that the children are friends or family of the Didier family and that the location is their home. With moderate creasing, minor soiling on the reverse, moderate fading, the photo is in good condition.
