Description

A black and white photograph of an elevated view of what is labeled to be the valley near Workman and Rowland's mill, ca. 1920s. A written inscription on the reverse specifically states the photograph is for Walter P. Temple and that the view is near Workman and Rowland's mill near Rancho de Taos during the 1830s. A large valley filled with scattered plants and trees, a fence separating a dirt road from the valley shows a person on a wagon, steering two horses at the forefront. There is an arrow drawn at the top of the image, presumably marking the location of the mill near the mountains in the background. With minor warping, ink inscriptions on the reverse, some soiling, photographer's stamp "VELOX" and "8134" it is in good condition.
