Description

A black and white photograph of an unidentified man in Thomas W. Temple's boarding room, Cambridge, Massachusetts, ca. 1928. The young man, most likely a friend or classmate sits on a chair in the room Thomas stayed in during the time he studied law at Harvard University. The portrait hanging in the oval frame on the wall was Abraham Temple, family member of Thomas, family photograph of the Temple family at left and a photo of his father, Walter P. Temple, Sr., at the far right. There is a desk lamp with fringe tassels, numerous ties hanging on the lamp, and books on the desk. The young man wears a suit as he has his head slightly turned, looking at the camera with a side-eyed focus. He bears a striking resemblence to the famous actor at the time, Rudolph Valentino. With moderate warping, heavy acid burn on the reverse, possibly from photo album adhesive, it is in fair condition.
