Description

A black and white photograph of an unidentified woman leaning against the fountain in La Casa Nueva Courtyard, Homestead, ca. 1920s. The woman smiles at the camera as she leans onto the fountain. She has short, waved hair, and wears a dark colored dress with pleats, a scarf, and heels. She has her hands positioned toward her left and appears to be clutching a handkerchief or tissues. Behind her is the mill stones, pottery, palm fronds and other shurbbery in view. Toward the bottom is the photographer's shadow, most likely Thomas W. Temple II. Also on the bottom is part of the flagstone path way. Toward the upper background is the balcony and roof tiles. With moderate fading, and a number stamp of "22" on the reverse, it is in good to fair condtion.
