Description

A black and white photograph of El Campo Santo's north and east walls, 5 February 1907. The image was taken as evidence in the case of Temple vs. Lewis. The north and east walls were nearly destroyed under the ownership of F.L. Lewis due to negligence. There are a couple of tall trees toward the right and other shrubbery in the background. A portion of the wrought iron fence as well as some of the red brick wall can be seen in the midst of the damaged cemetery. Writing on the reverse side of the photo are as follows, "Temple/Exhibit/E/FILED/JAN 12 1906/H.A.Piene/Justice of the Peace." Other writing describes the plantiff's date of evidence submission, and brief description. With moderate fading and creasing, the object is in good condition.
