Description
A black and white photograph of Nellie Didier, Emilenne and Yvette preparing a roadside picnic, ca. 1922. An inscription on the back describes the scene as "Lunching on the desert." Emilienne identified as sitting at the back, Yvette, and Nellie are facing away from the camera as they kneel over the food they are preparing. At right is a close up of their automobile, a sedan, possibly a Roosevelt model. Background shows an expanse of land and the side of a mountain at right. The automobile was manufactured in 1929 but the license plate shows the year of 1922. With minor fading, writing in ink on reverse, stamp of "35" it is in good condition overall.
