Description

A black and white photograph of the Temple family, possibly on their walnut farm in Montebello, ca. 1910s. From left to right is Walter Jr., Thomas (standing) behind Walter Jr. and Edgar, Agnes, Laura and Walter Sr. The family members are seated on wooden chairs, except for Thomas. The youngest three children are wearing white outfits, Thomas wears a long sleeve and overalls. Laura wears a high collared dress with buttons over the bust and a long skirt. Walter Sr. wears a long sleeve shirt and pants. They are photographed in the middle of a large expanse of land and a hill in the background. The location may be where oil was found on the family's walnut farm and would later be where the Temple family had a lease for oil drilling. With minor warping, and soiling mostly on the reverse, it is in good condition.
