Description

A black and white photograph of two women and three children, a dog on the front porch of the Didier home, ca. 1909. An inscription written in ink on the reveres identifies the people as "Mrs. Welch's friend Vera?/Em. Yvetter/Mrs. Welch & Aileen on our front porch/1909." The front of the Craftsman home shows two columns, single window to the left, front door and bay windows on the right. The woman at far left wears a large brimmed hat, light colored, long sleeved blouse and skirt, similar to the Gibson girl style, the children wear dresses with tights, shoes, the other lady on the right wears a high neck, light colored blouse with a broach and long dress and has her hair in an updo. A dog, possibly a collie sits on the right side of the steps. The shadow of the person taking the photo is seen on the bottom, middle of the image. With minor creases, soiling, thumb print marking, ink inscriptions, it is in good condition.
