Description
A black and white photograph of Walter Jr and Edgar Temple with two unknown boys, at the Homestead pool and reservoir area, ca. 1920s. Wally and Edgar are seen at the back and appear to be the two tallest of the group as they pose in a row while the two younger and shorter in stature, boys are at the front. Wally and Edgar appear to be between the ages of 10 and 11 years old while the other two boys may be 8 to 4 years old. All boys are facing the camera and smile. They are wearing bathing suits, have their hair wet and obviously appear to have just got out of the pool to take a photograph. Toward the left of the group are the changing rooms and at the right the edge of the pool filled with water can be seen. The background shows pipe fencing, a lantern curved light with a light bulb, a large wire fence and further back is the handball wall and tennis court area. With minor warping, fading, and a photographer's stamp of "4" on the reverse, it is in good condition overall.
