Description
A black and white photograph of Ye Alpine Tavern, Mt. Lowe, dated 20 April 1922. The image shows a majority of the wooden resort building, which has outdoor balcony seating, as well as indoor spaces. Two train conductors and two women stand on the entrance steps. Several signs are in view, including one identifying the building. In ink at the margins is "Mt. Lowe, height 6,000 ft. Wonderful trip. Take trail -- either horse or mule from here to top which is 2 1/2 miles. Isabel and I took the trail trip. Wonderful view from summit." With album corner residue, and light soiling, warping, the condition is good.
