Description

A black and white photograph reprint showing the Workman House north view with family, ca. 1870s. The home has two gables with wood shingles covering the roof which also has a brick chimney on the top far left and right, and molded brackets lining the bottom edging. Below these are triptich, arched windows. The railing of an exterior staircase is seen on the far left, and in the center is the north porch which has a paned-glass window on the right. William Workman stands on the porch step facing the left and wears a dark suit and hat. Below the porch stairs are two women in long skirts holding infants in their arms, and a little boy to the right. There are two men in hats and coats, on the far right in front of the northwest wing. In the foreground is a wheat field and the Lady Banks rose bush over a trellis. With no discernible damage visible and only pencil markings on the reverse, it is in good condition.
