Description
A black and white photograph with two unidentified women sitting on the fountain at La Casa Nueva Courtyard, Homestead, ca. 1920s. The two young women sit at the far left end of the fountain and smile at the camera. The woman at the left has her hair tied back. She is wearing a polka dot dress with a lapel collar and heels. She has her arm around the other woman who has short waved hair and wears a sleeveless dress that has long fringe hanging from her right shoulder, heels. The background shows the western part of the courtyard, a side table with a potted plant on it, a portion of second floor patio, what is now West Wing Storage, balcony, palm fronds, a decorative bird and circular swing in the background as well as pottery pieces on the fountain. With moderate creases to the upper corners, a number stamp of "60" and a check mark drawn with pencil in the back, "Velox" stamp on the reverse, it is in good condition overall.
