Description
A black and white press photograph of a girl feeding an orange to an ostrich, Los Angeles, 3 September 1925. The young girl is holding a couple of pieces of fruit to her chest with her left hand, while feeding a bird with an orange with her right, while another ostrich waits patiently at the left. A card for the Los Angeles Ostrich Farm, located at Lincoln Park is in the background, as is a multi-story structure that appears to be outside the farm grounds. The girl appears to be no older than ten and wears a bobbed hair and a short sleeve dress. There is a pasted-down caption, markings, a bar code from the seller and stamps on the reverse. With a missing piece at the upper right corner, light soiling and minimal rubbing, the overall condition is fair.
