Description

A black and white press photograph of a woman boarding a streetcar, Los Angeles, 17 June 1925. The image shows the lady on the step of the open entry to the car with a conductor on the street watching her ascend the steps and another standing at the entry. The woman wears a cloche hat, a long coat with a fur collar and heels. The conductor wears uniform of a long overcoat, pants, leather shoes and a conductor's white and black hat. The photo lacks a pasted-down caption and a pencil inscription on the reverse reads, "Without Words?." There are other markings and a dated reference stamp, as well. With moderate warping, browning of the image, and minor soiling, the condition is good to fair.
