Description

A black and white press photograph of the Los Angeles County coroner and city police detectve with a bullet from a murder, Underwood & Underwood, 8 February 1922. The image is a detail showing the two men in partial view and one of them holding a small bullet between the thumb and forefinger of his left hand. The bullet was taken from the body of Hollywood director William Desmond Taylor, who was found in his residence in a case that was never solved. The detectives wear three-piece suits, hats, tie clips, and are clean shaven. A pasted-down caption has a brief description and there are stamps and other markings. With creases, and minor fading, soiling, the overall condition is good.
