Description
A black and white real photo postcard of a bungalow at Melrose and Serrano, Hollywood, ca. 1905. The view is taken from the intersection and shows the front and north side of the house, situated at the southeast corner, and takes in the front porch, casement windows, roof posts nd other features of what appeared to be new construction, as well as manicured lawns and clean sidewalks. A street sign is at the corner and a cat sits on the front walk to the house, which is no longer extant and a commercial structure is now on the lot. On the reverse is an address and message, identifying the house as "The Carters 'Home Sweet Home'," but the card was not mailed, though evidently sent some other way. With some soiling and edge abrasions, the condition is good.
