Description
A black and white real photo postcard of Compton School, Compton, California, 1908. The view is taken from the street and slightly to the left, taking in the front and one side of the two-story wood frame structure, which has a projecting entrance with a bell tower atop it and a wood rail fence around it. Other structures, perhaps nearby houses, are in the background. A message is from someone in Sierra Madre to a recipient in West Los Angeles, though a visit to Compton is mentioned. With minimal soiling and edge abrasions, the condition is good.
