Description

A black and white snapshot of a smiling Nellie Didier posed with an unidentified woman, 4 May 1936. Nellie is standing at right, wearing a veritcally stripped dress and a multicolored, long sleeved blouse. She holds her skirt back with her right hand and has her other arm around the woman's waist, posing for the camera as they both smile at the camera. The woman also wears a long sleeved blouse and dress with an apron at her waist. The dresses appear to be in the style of late Victorian era. They stand in an open space that appears to be some type of tennis or other sport related type of courtyard. Behind the fence and in the background are many tall trees, a parked autombile at the left and residential streets with homes. With minor fadings, warping, and a photographer's stamp "ANDERSON/PHOTO SERVICE/MAY 4 1936/EL MONTE, CALIF." and a number "32," it is in good condition overall.
