Description

A black and white, snapshot of a storm-damaged structure on Topanga Beach, Malibu, 22 February 1926. The image is taken from the sand and looks down on several houses set against the bluff on the beach. The one closest has been toppled backwards and the foundation and stilts are visible, while the rest look relatively unscathed. Two houses are also perched on the hillsides above. On the reverse in pencil is, "Storm Damage, Topanga Beach, Feb 22, 1926." With minor warping, general discoloration, soiling and abrasions, the condition is good.
