Description

A bond for the Commercial Exchange Building, Los Angeles, 1 May 1928. The instrument is for $1000 with payments due to the holder, twice annually, in May and November of each year for $30 until May 1939 for interest and the face value due on expiration. The first seven of twenty-two coupons are gone and the remainder attached to the document, which has signatures, a seal and, on the reverse, a stamp stating that the building was sold 24 January 1936 and the indebtedness for the bond of $691.95 was paid. Another stamp notes the bond was declared due on 25 October 1932. The building still stands at Olive and Eighth streets. With tape holding two of the coupons in place, creases, light soiling, and folds, the overall condition is good.
