A Christmas card dated 25 December 1872. The colored card has the message "Christmas Greeting / from your affectionate . . ." with a stylized C and flower-and-vine design. At the bottom is the name of a perfumer, E. Rimmel, who appears to be the publisher and a reference to "Stationers Hall," a reference to a London livery company or guild for the copyright of products in the general printing trades. At the bottom is the ink inscription "Mama" and the date and on the verso is another inscription from a mother to a daughter and the year. With some soiling and verso damage from removal from an album, the overall condition is good.
