Description

A broadside for a concert at the Long Beach Hotel, 28 July 1888. The flyer advertises the performance by The Misses Joran and others, including Louis F. Gottschalk, great-nephew of the well-known pianist and composer Louis Moreau Gottschalk and vocalist Louis Gaston Gottschalk (a few of whose letters are in the Museum collection) and who went on to work in theatrical and film composition. The program is provided and a pencil inscription indicated admission prices of 50 and 75 cents. With folds, tears on them and the edges, a stain, dogeared corners and soiling, the condition is poor to fair.
