Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a bullfight in a stadium in Spain, 1930. There are three bullfighters in the arena, two with their capes spread on the right, and the other dodging the bull on the left. The head of a man wearing a cap is at the right of the foreground. Many people are in the two-level stands, which are in the background. A sign is along the top of the stadium, though water damage has made it indiscernable except for the word, "SCHNEIDER." Stamped on the back is, "VELOX" and, "001AR374." The photograph was taken during Agnes Temple's honeymoon and was housed in her album, which is item 96.7.94.1, along with many other photographs which span 96.7.1.1-.93.1. Contact sheets 2000.159.1.1-.8 show the original positioning of the images within the album. With water damage, stains, and a mounting corner adhered to the top right corner, the object is in poor condition. Number-Units: 1
