Description

Color: Black; Blue; Orange; White "A Bungalow, a Radio and You," written by Fred Dempsey and Dick Leibert and published by Leo Feist, Inc., 1928. The cover has the title in black letters at the top and partially superimposed over a heart-shaped multi-colored image of a man and woman cuddling on a sofa with a radio behind them and an arched door open to a scene of flowers and trees outdoors. Just below the title is the note that the song was a fox trot. At the bottom left are the composers' names and the name of publisher under this. The notation that the song is scored for the ukulele or the banjo-ukulele is at the center right. The piece is written in a moderato tempo and the tuning scale for the instruments is at the bottom right of the first page. On the inside front cover and the back cover are sample scores from other offerings by the publisher. At the top of the front cover, in ink, is the name of a former owner. In poor condition, the artifact is loose, the covers having been separated and there are cover creases, soiling, stains on the back, wear, and a significant tear at the right edge of the front. The pages are also slightly browned.
