A cabinet card full-length portrait of two boys, Bijou Studio, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The image shows one young man, appearing to be about seven or eight years of age, seated on a square box and wearing a black outfit has some embroidered designs on the left sleeve and front, a knotted rope around the neck, and a wide hat with a ribbon at the back. The older boy, perhaps nine or ten years old, wears a wool coat and short pants, a patterned cravat, a patterned cap, high-laced boots and black stockings. The two appear to be brothers and they are in front of a painted backdrop of a harbor scene. With light soiling and excellent clarity, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
