A cabinet card photo of a young couple, studio portrait, Galeria de la Plaza, Los Angeles, ca. 1880. The studio backdrop is of an interior scene with a fireplace and mirrored mantel. The woman sits in a chair at center wearing a floor length dress with cinched sleeves and ribbons tied along the dress. She also wears a ring on her left hand. The man stands slightly behind her and he wears a dark colored suit with a pocket chain and moustache. There is an animal hide rug at their feet. Both look in opposite directions. This is most likely a marriage portrait. The photograph has minor surface soiling, abrasion, and a crease at bottom right.
