Description
A cabinet card photograph, "228 — Hollenbeck Park from the South," Los Angeles, W. M. Graham, ca. 1890s. The view is from above the southeast corner of the lake and looks northwestward, with some water craft in the lake, the walkway winding around it, the pedestrian bridge spanning it, part of the boathouse, and much of the landscape of the park. Some houses in the surrounding Boyle Heights community are in view, as well. The number, title and photographer's surname are in white at the bottom and the image is pasted down to a gray photo album page. With warping and minor soiling, the overall condition is good.
