Description
A cabinet card photograph, "4048 Rose Cottage, South Spring St., Los Angeles, Cal.," issued by Isaiah W. Taber, San Francisco, ca. 1880s. The view shows part of the right side of the front elevation of the single-story residence, focusing on an enormous and dense set of rose vines growing on the structure. The house's front door and porch are at the left and walks, a lawn, and other landscaping are in view. The address of 617 S. Spring is now an apartment building. At the bottom left is a stamp for "Culver Pictures, Inc." in New York. While the matte has abrasion and soiling, the photo appears clean and in good condition.
