Description
A cabinet card photograph, "68. Bradbury Mansion, Cor. Hill and Court House Sts," Pierce and Blanchard, Los Angeles, early 1890s. The very large Romanesque-style mansion is seen from across the street with the front elevation and part of a side elevation in view. Some landscaping, including small trees, a short border fence and a stone wall along the side are in evidence, and it appears the photo was taken within a few years of the home's construction. The photographer's cartouche is on the reverse and their name and address on the front along with the phrase "Gardens of Los Angeles and Vicinity in Midwinter." With much damage to the matte causing a separation of the photo from it at the top, a loss at the top right corner, stains, soiling and edge rubbing, possible silver fish damage, the overall condition is poor.
