Description
A cabinet card photograph, "69. Great Incline at Mount Lowe Railway," Graham, ca. 1898. The view shows a car loaded with passengers next to the station and platform at the bottom, near which is a streetcar that has come up from the San Gabriel Valley at the base of the mountains. The steeply graded track rises to the top of the peak, which is not very visible. The photo is mounted onto album paper and, with some curvature and light soiling, the condition is good.
