Description
A cabinet card photograph, "#90 Street Chinatown L.A. Cal," by Munsey, ca. 1890s. The street view shows several two-story buildings, most with balconies and some having unfurled banners, perhaps signs for businesses within, hanging from sloping awnings. A large flag surmounts a structure at the right and another appears to do at the left A horse-drawn vehicle unhitched from the animal is parked at right and there are a few pedestrians. The number, title and "Munsey Photo" are in white ink at the bottom. The photo is pasted onto a gray album page and with some warping, especially at the upper third, and minor soiling, the condiiton is good.
