Description

A cabinet card photograph, "No 209 Spring St From 3rd," Los Angeles, unattributed, but probably W. H. Graham, ca. 1890s. The view is from the middle of the street and looks northward. Horse-drawn vehicles, a streetcar, electric poles and wires and some pedestrians on the sidewalk are of note and there are multi-story buildings lining the street. Signs are for a hotel, a photo gallery, a creamerie, Woodbury's Business College, an undertaker's parlor and others. The number and title are in white ink at the bottom and, though the photographer's name is not present, the style of lettering indicates W. H. Graham. The photo is pasted onto a gray album page and with some wraping and minor soiling, the condition is good.
