Description
A cabinet card photograph, "No 215 Chinese Dragon," Los Angeles, unattributed, but probably W. H. Graham, ca. 1890s. The view shows the ornately decorated dragon with the large head at the left and the body extending the length of the photo to the right. Several Chinese men stand with the dragon for support and there is a wooden tripod to hold the head in place. Several residences are of note along the street, though the exact location is not known and it is assumed the event was the Fiesta de Los Angeles. The number and title are in white ink just below the dragon and, though the photographer's name is not present, the style of lettering indicates W. H. Graham. The photo is pasted onto a gray album page and with some warping and minor soiling, the condiiton is good.
