Description
A cabinet card photograph, "No 308 A One Day's Catch," Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, unattributed (probably W. H. Graham,) ca. 1890s. The view shows a little girl standing next to a wooden rack filled with a variety of fish and a shark captured in the waters off the island. Some of the rocky beach, sea craft, a dock and parts of structures in Avalon and surrounding hillsides are also in view. The number and title are in white at the bottom and, though the photographer is not identified, the lettering is in the style of Graham. The image is pasted down to a gray photo album page. With warping and minor soiling, the condition is good.
