Description
A black and white cabinet card photograph of a Balloon Route excursion party at the Redondo Hotel, C. E. McCarthy, ca. 1900s. There are over fifty persons standing on one side of the steps to the hotel entrance. An excursion conductor is standing fifth from left in the front row and wearing a cap with the label "Balloon Route Excursion" on it. On the reverse is information on the excursion and a two stanza poem, as well as McCarthy's contact information. With some fading at the upper right, perhaps because of sun exposure, some soiling, and denting and rubbing to the matte edge, the overall condition is good.
