Description
A cabinet card photograph of a Los Angeles meat market, 1894. The image shows three men, one in a white apron behind the counter and another, holding a white package, on the customer side. In the background are packages and meat products hanging on hooks, a meat grinder, and elaborately carved tall case as well. On the counter are other items and a small glass case. In pencil on the reverse is "Los Angeles, Cal / 1894." With the bottom left corner of the matte missing and some stains and edge rubbing to the matte, while the photo is clean except for some abrasions near the top, the overall condition is good.
