Description
A cabinet card photograph of an older woman, Bijou Studio (Chester W. Burdick), Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The unusual horizontal formatted image shows the woman's upper torso and head and she wears a black dress with puffed sleeves and a high collar. Her white hair is parted in the middle and put up in the back. The bottom is dark as an effect. The studio cartouche is at the bottom of the matte. With soiling, stains, scratches and major abrasions, the condition is fair.
