Description
A cabinet card photograph of Boulevard Tract in Los Angeles, ca. 1890. Photo taken by Shaffner, Los Angeles in the series, "Views of Los Angeles and Pasadena Boulevards." A rural scene of a simple, one story, wood construction house at the center. In the back is a small shed with a clothes wire attached to the siding. The lot is surrounded by an unfinished wooden picket fence. Just outside the fence is a man standing by a horse drawn carriage. In the foreground is a large farm tool, tiller, among some long planks of wood. The image is warped at the edges and has moderate fading.
