Description
A cabinet card photograph of several persons on the porch of a wood-framed house, Los Angeles, 19 March 1900. The view shows the man, women and small child on the broad porch covering the front of the structure, which has some decorative details on the porch posts and shutters on the front windows. There is a small yard with a picket fence enclosing it. Over the front door is the street number "737." On the reverse is an ink inscription giving the date, identifying the inscriber, her sister and mother, but not the couple at the right, and noting that the photo was taken two days after her father's death. The condition is good despite the creasing and abrasions along the edges, some soiling and fading.
