2024.39.1.3Description
A cabinet card photograph of the H. Jevne (John H. Norton) Building, Los Angeles, ca. 1910. The image, taken cater-corner to the structure, which still stands, though heavily modified, at the southwest corner of Broadway and 6th Street, shows the six-story building, built by Norton but commonly identified as that of Jevne and his store which occupied the whole edifice, shows the east and north elevations. A horse-drawn vehicle is parked on 6th and two men stand on the Broadway side. With staining and soiling, along with losses, chips, warping and soiling to the album board, the condition is fair.
