A cabinet card photograph, "Roses & Eng. Ivy, Figueroa St," Los Angeles, ca. 1888. The view shows a portion of a single-story house with the front covered with ivy, as well as a profusion of rose bushes on stakes, a small tree, a narrow paved walk and a portion of the front picket fence. On the reverse is the title in ink, the initials "J.M.S." and a stamp for the Hollenbeck Book Store, located in the hotel of that name.
