Description
A cabinet card photograph, "St. James Park, Los Angeles, Cal.," ca. 1900s.The view shows a highly-ornamented cast-iron light standard on a stone base in the midst of a wide unpaved road, behind which is the park with lawns, walks, benches, palm trees and other landscaping. The park was part of a subdivision by John H. Braly in 1887. With light fading, minor soiling and moderate rubbing to the matte, the condition is good overall.
