Description

A cabinet card studio portrait of a bridal couple by Joseph T. Bertrand, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The groom, wearing a black three-piece suit, white shirt, bow tie, corsage in his left lapel, handkerchief in the jacket's breast pocket, and a watch chain, sits in a side chair and his right arm rests upon a throw-covered side table. His wife, with her right arm resting upon his left shoulder, wears a black floor-length dress with a white trim piece at the waist, a floral corsage upon the breast and a long white lace train. A floral headdress is also of note. In her left hand she holds a pair of long white gloves. There is a long scratch on the image and some pin marks, an abrasion and some soiling, but the overall condition is good.
