Description

A cabinet card studio portrait of a couple and three children, unattributed, ca. 1900s. The group are in a studio with a plain white wall behind them. The parents are seated, the wife at left, wearing a dark dress with a white front and high collar and the husband with a light-colored three-piece suit, white shirt, and light colored tie. Two boys, about ages four and six, stand in front, wearing suits with short pants and the younger boy having a large ribbon at the front, while the older one has a collar and what looks like a bow tie. The daughter, standing at the back seems about age ten, and wears a dark-dress with high collar and puffed shoulders and has her hair in a thick ponytail. The couple and one of the children is in item .1 of this accession, but this photo is several years later and does not have an attribution as to photographer or the family. With corner losses, abrasions, small stains and abrasions to the mount, and some small stains on the photo, the condition is fair.
