Description
A cabinet card studio portrait of a man by James D. Westervelt, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The upper torso and head shot shows the man, probably in his twenties or thirties, wearing a dark jacket and vest, white shirt and white bow tie. A flower in his lapel might indicate that the photo was for a wedding portrait or other special occassion. He has his hair parted and curled in the middle and he fashions a thick mustache. The photographer's cartouche is at the bottom, but there are no identifying inscriptions as to the subject. Aside from minor soiling and edge abrasions, the overall condition is good.
