Description
A cabinet card studio portrait of a mother and child, Mitchell Studio, Los Angeles, ca. 1900s. Set within an oval on a matte, the colorized image shows the two in a head-and-shoulder view. The woman, with her hair pulled up in a bun at the back, wears a high-collared outfit with at least some lace. The boy wears a white outfit, as well. On the reverse is a stamp with a negative number and address for the Mitchell Studio. With edge abrasion and creasing on the matte, the condition is good.
