Description
A cabinet card studio portrait of a woman, James B. Blanchard, Los Angeles, ca. 1890s. The image is a full-length view and the subject, perhaps in her twenties, wears a floor-length black dress with what appear to bee narrowed velvet sleeves a velvet front and fringed flaps at the waist. The women rests her right hand on a book next to a vase with flowers, which is on a covered table. A velvet tasseled sidechair, lace curtain, and rug are also part of the staging. With minor soiling and edge abrasions, the condition is good.
