Description
A cabinet card studio portrait of a woman, Charles J. Crandall, Pasadena, ca. 1890s. The view has the oval focus on the woman's head and high lace collar of her white dress and her hair is curled and piled on top while pulled up in the back and she wears wire-rimmed spectacles that may be pince-nez or have one arm at the left, but her head is turned slightly to the left so it cannot be easily discerned. Crandall's cartouche, noting his location as in Pasadena is at the bottom. With some heavy foxing, staining and soiling, the overall condition is fair.
